I was contacted by Becky and Paul for a 7 hour wedding shoot in Thornaby, Redcar and Saltburn-by-the-Sea. I started at Becky’s parent’s house in Thornaby to capture some of the preparations. As per usual there was a relaxed atmosphere which became slightly more tense as the hour of the ceremony approached. I always find it fascinating to observe how the emotions change as the hours progress and trying to capture those fine nuances.
The ceremony was held in the Redcar Heart Register Office where Paul was waiting for his bride to be. During the ceremony Ollie, Becky and Paul’s son decided to do his own thing and leisurely walked around and interacted with the registrar, the guests and of course his parents to the delight of everyone. The ceremony was followed by the reception in Saltburn House in Saltburn-by-the-Sea.
Just before going to the venue we made a little stop at Victoria Pub, the place wher Becky and Paul first met and took a few snaps at the table where their lives’ journey began. Becky and Paul were very open to suggestions and willing to go out for several little shoots. Just across the street was a rose garden and I managed to get them across just before I was about to finish for some final shots. It was a lovely shoot, thank you for having me as your photographer and all the best!
