When I was still working as a Graphic Designer in The Netherlands I got a few wedding photography assignments. Lisa and Niels had me booked from make up preparations until afternoon tea. Lisa and Niels’s wedding started early with Lisa’s make up preparations. It is so nice to be able to be there when the bride is getting ready. Some are nervous from the get go, some are relaxed throughout, some are relaxed in the beginning of the morning but as the moment of the ceremony comes nearer the nerves are setting in. Capturing those moments is a delight. Eventually Niels joined the bride to be being chauffeured in a classic Volvo Amazon and we moved towards the ceremony, in this case a church ceremony in the town of Apeldoorn. After the ceremony we went to Paleis Het Loo, one of the former palaces of the Dutch Royal Family, now a state museum for a walkaround. The day ended just before everyone went for afternoon tea. I got some cracking pictures and thank Lisa and Niels for their trust in me!
